Domestic Welfare

How We Help

We support members of the community with their domestic welfare needs. We do this by providing contribution vouchers for microchipping, neutering and emergency veterinary care. Contribution vouchers are available to those residing within our catchment area and in receipt of a means tested benefit.

Making Pet Care More Affordable

Pet Health Clubs

Your vet may offer a 'Pet Health Club'. These clubs are a great way to spread the cost of your pet's routine healthcare over the course of a year. Many include flea and worming treatments, vaccinations, free health checks, discounts on treatments and often reduce the overall cost of your pet's routine healthcare.

Pet Insurance

Pet insurance can help you cover the costs of veterinary treatment and medical expenses that might otherwise be unaffordable. As well as covering vet bills, some providers can have other benefits too such as third party liability for dogs and assisting with the cost of recovering a lost pet.

Pet insurance for a puppy guarantees lifelong coverage for most health issues that develop if premiums are maintained. Despite higher costs, insurance for senior dogs can justify its expense. Policies can cover conditions like osteoarthritis, heart problems, and cancer that older dogs are prone to.

We strongly recommend insuring your pet to protect you against unexpected costs should your pet have an accident or become unwell. Policy costs and levels of cover vary by provider, so you should shop around and find the best policy for you and your beloved pet.

Your monthly donation will help to fund wildlife rescue and rehabilitation at our Rescue Centre.
